I substituted values in equation 15.5.6 and got

Please tell me what to do next.
There is a typo in 15.5.6. The quantitywhich appears on the RHS is not
, it is simply the coefficient in the expansion of
. In other words, 15.5.6 should read
You can now make your substitution and equate coefficients of. Does that help?
when I make substitutions I still don't get equation 15.5.7. please notice the second term exponential - it's different. And there two equations not one.
OK, another hint. When I make the suggested substitution
on each side of the (corrected version of) 15.5.6, the coefficient ofon the left-hand side becomes
and the coefficient ofon the right-hand side becomes
The coefficients ofmust be equal in these two expressions, as must the coefficients of
. That gives you two equations.

Oops, I mean the coefficients of.
