Hi Jilan, Thanks for the message. Apologies for the delayin response. I fell ill due to sunstroke and was also busy doing my admission to the new university at the same time. Do you think we can do anything to take this idea of "creating gravity by bending of light" ahead?

Jilan liked post by lpetrich On thread : The Varying Speed of Light
One might try defining the speed of light nonlocally by measuring its travel distance and time from point A to point B in this way. Measure distance with a spacelike geodesic from A to point C and...

The benefit is in giving people the opportunity to show why Farsight's arguments are not in accord with current scientific understanding. It is about the points being put forward, not about who is...

That's incorrect, I'm afraid (which is quite amusing in light of your tone here). Could you walk us through how you arrived at that answer? I'm actually quite curious; it's almost like you were...

It's not due only to the inverse square law. Consider an infinitely long rod. Near the rod the field varies as 1/r instead of 1/r^2. Inside a sphere with uniform mass density the field varies...

That's fine, I wasn't looking for your agreement. I simply contributed my own take on the subject matter. I won't comment, since I prefer to let others be the judge of that. I find that people...

I don't really understand why there is an argument to start with. Locally we can never ever measure anything else but exactly c for the speed of light, and no one can dispute that; GR now teaches us...

Not at all. The transformation rules are part of the mathematical definition of what a tensor is, and not the result of anything to do with GR. Remember that tensors are rigorously defined...

Symmetry breaking is a simple idea at heart. The precise statement would obscure the essential details (and in any case, you can find it online in many places), so I will offer an analogy which sits...
