    Hi Ellatha

You cited a quote by Dave Miller PhD regarding Chris Langan's CTMU.
Chris Langan insists Dave Miller is not a real person and is an internet troll.

Would you mind assisting me by providing whatever information you are able, to demonstrate that Miller is a real person (I won't pass on anything that impinges on your privacy or his, but nevertheless I'll respect your choice there)

The kind of thing I am after: Have you or anyone you know actually met Miller? Where is he currently employed? What papers or books has he authored, and are any of these accessible online, to demonstrate that he exists? Miller says he holds many patents: do you know the subject of any of these? etc.

I am a contributor on Quora, where Langan anonymously asks quite a lot of questions about CTMU then answers them himself, as well as criticising answers that do not suit his perspective.

    Thank you in anticipation,
    Dick Harfield

There is nothing surprising here. The American colonies were founded by religious groups, so it is only natural that some of the first universities in the U.S. were founded by religious groups. In...

Some research is the work of a single individual, and some work is the result of collaborations. It is pretty simple. Mathematicians talk to one another all the time, and quite often a comment...

What is important is not the result itself, though people concerned with coding theory are very interested in that. What is important are the new ideas that will likely be needed to construct a...

Ellatha, I agree. And science must answer to logic. Not the other way around. That silly, misguided philosopher that the reputable DrRocket mentioned, Aristotle, once distilled three laws of...

If perception were ultimately material, then we would not have crazy people. This is no way means that the perception of most of us does not reflect an independent physical reality, else why would...

Many thanks. If a paper is riddled with cryptic terminology, then it should include a descriptive glossary or have one follow shortly behind wherever it goes.

Perception is the nexus. If it was ultimately mental, reality wouldn't consist of a dual aspect monism (infocognition).

Only if the problems are interesting. Problems that have been known for some but have defied solution by anyone are usually interesting.

Mathematical theorems do not really represent absolute truth. A mathematical theorem is of the form "If A then B". While the entire sentence is a tautology, any "truth" eventually is traceable back...

A=A is not really an axiom, though you may find it as such in a very formal treatment of logic. For practical purposes it is a tautology that follows from the definition of "=". "=" means "is". ...
