    Hi folks!
    a problem for everyone.
An oxygen cylinder of 7 m3 volume has initial gas pressure is 150 kg/cm2 as read on the gauge. Its nozzle has radius of 1 cm diameter. If nozzle is opened, how long will it take to reach to pressure of 4 kg/cm2 ?
Assume Temp and density of gas to be constant.

    Beginning of the thread:
Assumptions may not be correct. Density will decrease when gas is released. Temp can also fall if adiabatic sudden expansion. However, one can assume temp to be constant for slow release of the gas.
Now one has to derive the relation between Pinitial, Pfinal and time. Go ahead. Start the thread.
    Vishwa.

    Hi Markus.
It is not exactly a homework problem but a kind of term project.
A physics challenge to model an equation for large number of known and unknown variables.

Ok, I will tentatively move it to the "Homework" section, simply to properly classify this thread.

    Thanks Mr. Markus.
Can be possible to put it in General Thread to have more visitors?

Ya Mr. Marks, Home Work does come under General Thread.
I did not know it. However, the Home Work name may be changed to something like 'oxygen cylinder' or 'gas leakage through nozzles' .

The number of visitors is roughly the same across all threads, this being a comparatively small forum. The "General" section is only for threads which don't really fit anywhere else; a term project is based categorised as a Homework Help thread.
