I ran across this in a newsletter from ITER which is a multinational project to create nuclear fusion (hot) for mass energy production. Underground experiment confirms what powers the sun | Science/AAAS | News

This is detection of relatively low-energy neutrinos that the Sun produces. Most previous experiments detected higher-energy ones.

The 10% variation in detected flux from predicted flux still leaves room for interesting twists in the details, though likely future, more sensitive experiments will narrow that and fully confirm the current model.

Neutrinos. What an interesting group of particles. Anything that can go through a light year thickness of lead as if it was not there... well that is interesting.
