    Hi

I would like to determine the flexural modulus of a material.

Basically I have one material in which the flexural modulus is known, and another material I would like to compare against it.
I have determined the tensile strength of each material via a tensometer and from the stress strain curves I have been able to calculate Young's Modulus.

I was wondering if there was some kind of crude experiment I could do myself as I don't have access to the proper testing equipment? I'm thinking along the lines of a makeshift 3 point bend test.

    Kind regards

    Anthony

    Hi

Never mind, I just worked it out because I am awesome at math

If anyone is interested I could always demonstrate the experiment and calculations in a post.

    Kind regards

    Anthony
